Save Lives and Money with The Bright Pink Book at Westfield Annapolis Shopping Mall #brightpink #spon

The Bright Pink Book can keep you out of the red. With additional savings on top of already great deals at Westfield Shopping Malls, there is no reason why you would want to miss this opportunity.

Westfield, Giuliana Rancic and Bright Pink® have teamed up to offer shoppers "fabulous deals for a fabulous cause" in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For a small donation of $5 (or more, if your heart desires), you can fund life-saving education and support programs.

“Breast Cancer Awareness month is the perfect opportunity for us to use fashion to unite and mobilize local communities in support of Bright Pink’s very important cause,” says Shaun Swanger, VP, Marketing – Fashion, Westfield. “It’s always a pleasure to work with Giuliana and we’re excited to bring her story and message of hope and inspiration to our shoppers, while offering fabulous deals and offers from our retailers in the process.”

Check out the difference your funds can make:

Nationally, over $31,000 raised by Westfield Centers, with over $1000 raised locally at Westfield Annapolis to date.

o $10 provides educational literature to one doctor’s office

o $100 covers the cost of one experiential outreach group, allowing women who have strong family histories of breast and ovarian cancer or genetic pre-dispositions to connect within the context of a fun activity such as yoga or pottery painting and engage in a facilitated, supportive discussion around issues related to being young and high risk.

o 250 funds a BrightenUp educational workshop educating 50-100 women on breast and ovarian health basics

o $1,000 allows us to host an Emerging Medical Professionals workshop to arm the next generation of OB/Gyn’s and Internists with life-saving tools and resources to manage their young female patient’s breast and ovarian health.

My local Westfield shopping mall, in Annapolis, MD, graciously offered me a gift card and The Bright Pink Book to take advantage of some of the deals. For those of you that follow me, you know that I am all about fashion and a great bargain. What better way to entertain the two, all while supporting a cause very close to my heart – cancer.

Here are the deals offered at Westfield Annapolis mall:

We made our trip a family outing. Ian, Kaden and Liam all tagged along with me during my shopping adventures.

As always, we made a stop at a store for Kaden. It's basketball season, so he is trying to find a pair of sneakers that will help his game and compliment his uniform. He was doing more of window shopping that day. We are going to go back to make a final selection.

I headed to New York & Co. to see what great deals where inside. The associate at the front entrance was so inviting. He held great conversation. He even told me that the store had a few breast cancer items located in the middle aisle. I checked out the clearance rack and spotted a gorgeous lacy dress. It's not like I have any place to wear it, I just thought it was a great staple.

I made a pit stop at Sears while Kaden and his Dad headed to the food court to grab a bite to eat. Liam and I checked out some of the summer clearance racks in the Misses' section of the store. Although Sears is not included in The Bright Pink Book as part of the additional savings, there was no way I could pass up all of the $1.99 deals. I scored four items, including some cute Kardashian Kollection pieces, for a little over $6 ( I used my Shop Your Way Rewards).

Of course, I can't make a visit to ANY store without shopping for the little man. Liam has a wardrobe full of clothes (thanks to family, friends and great finds at thrift stores), but I always like to see if there are any adorable pieces to add to his collection. We made a stop at the always trusty, The Children's Place. I was sold as soon as I saw the "Take an Additional 60% Off" sign at the front of the store.

I should mention that I was using a PDF file on my phone to take advantage of The Bright Pink Book deals. The same coupons that are in the physical book are also available for download to your phone. It was very convenient.

A girl can never have too many accessories, or can she?! Either way, I wanted to make a stop at Laila Rowe. It is like accessory overload in this store. I feel so overwhelmed by all of the items to choose from. Instead of adding to the already massive piles of earrings, bracelets, necklaces, etc., I settled on a black headband. I am casual most days, so this will get great use when I wear my hair back.

You never know what you're going to see when you're shopping at the mall. While walking along, we spotted a group of girls dressed up as the characters of the popular A&E series Duck Dynasty. They were participating in a scavenger hunt of some sorts. Two of the girls were nice enough to pose quickly for a photo.

I also spotted a great display in the Macy's court promoting The Bright Pink Book.

H&M always has spectacular savings and trendy fashions in their store. I knew that I would have no problem finding anything in this store. I walked right in and spotted an abundance of sale racks. My eyes lit up immediately. This was my kind of shopping.

I ran into a problem with the phone service when I headed to the register. I was unable to pull up my coupon for this store. The item I purchased was already inexpensive, so I was not upset about being unable to redeem it. I'm going to go back and use it towards a higher-priced item.

We were already on borrowed time. I tried squeezing in this shopping trip after picking my son up from school and before he headed to basketball practice. Being a mother requires great organizational and multi-tasking skills. I think I accomplished a lot in such a short period of time (and with an impatient crew at times. MEN!).

With the clock running down and as we were heading out the mall, I decided to do something for myself for once. I am always putting everyone first and often neglect the simple pleasures in life, like getting my eyebrows waxed.

It may seem like I'm a girlie-girl, but I am far from it. However, I do like feeling normal and getting this service done is a ten minute break from reality. I stopped in Glamour Nails to tame the hairy beasts above my eyes. I wasn't able to use the coupon in this store because I did not meet the requirements. If I had more time, I would have easily tacked on a pedicure or manicure to up my total.

“Bright Pink is thrilled to partner with Westfield for the first time this year. This partnership kicks off at a very important moment, as we move from National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month into National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Through the sales of the Bright Pink Book and Westfield special events, we are so fortunate to have the opportunity to educate, equip and empower thousands of women to be proactive with their health,” says Lindsay Avner, Founder and CEO – Bright Pink.

I had a wonderful time shopping at Westfield Annapolis. Not only did I manage to get all of my "men" to tag along with me (did they really have a choice?), but I also found some great deals. I was able to shop retail and thrift store prices. That is awesome in my book.
