Brian James Footwear Review and Giveaway ~ CLOSED #spon

I know that as a woman, I'm suppose to have this great love affair with shoes. To some extent – I do. On the other hand, I could walk around barefoot all day and be just as in love.

But there comes a time and an occasion when a girl needs a simple, chic sandal that could couple with just about any piece in her wardrobe. It becomes somewhat of a staple and the go-to shoe. This is how I feel about my Brian James Angelle sandal in cognac.

Designed with soft, silky suede, Angelle is the go-to sandal for this season. Angelle's flattering design is enhanced with ankle support, seamless leather lining, a cushioned insole and a flexible outsole to create the ultimate combination of style and comfort. Angelle also features a velcro ankle strap for increased adjustability. Available in noir and cognac.

Brian James™ was created by Angela Edgeworth, founder of the award-wining children’s shoe brand pediped® Footwear. Sold in over 2000 retail locations in over 50 countries around the world, pediped® is beloved by parents and kids alike. After countless requests to bring the comfort of pediped® to ladies' shoes, Angela decided to create Brian James™. She named the company after her husband, who—besides her two children—is the love of her life. Brian James™ embraces the core features and beliefs of pediped®: comfort, quality and style.
You can tell by the toe prints shown in the picture above that I have quite a love for wearing them. That, or, my feet are just awfully dirty. It could very well be a toss up between the two. Hey, I'm a country girl. We get down and dirty from time to time.

Because of the neutral color, these Brian James sandals can be worn with just about anything in my closet. I have worn them with a dress, a jumper and a brightly-colored pair of pants. Each time, they worked. Take a look at how they look one me:

denim Jumper

black maxi dress

neon pants

See – they go with everything! I'm sitting here thinking about other ways I can wear them.

There are two complaints I have about the particular pair I was sent:

  •  The width: If you have a wide foot like me, you're probably going to experience a bit of discomfort on the middle band section. My fat foot had to be wiggled into the sandal. It took a few tries to even feel comfortable.
  • The material: The suede material can be quite tricky when you are walking in the grass, it rains or some other form of liquid hits the sandal. I would recommend a cleaner so that you can maintain the life of your shoe.

Right now, there is a great assortment of shoes that were made for the Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Here's a look at them and their current price (as of 8/15/13):

And get this: Brian James has this cool thing where you can try their shoes before you buy them. You pay no shipping and nothing for the shoes, at first. Then, if you love them, you pay. That's the gist of the program, but more details can be found here.

This is perfect for people like me who have a hard time making decisions when it comes to fashion. There are just so many choices and so many great styles. It's hard to choose. This will also allow you to see which style is most flattering.

But if you already have your eye set on a pair of these lovely shoes, I have a little treat for you. Brian James is allowing me to give away a pair of their shoes. All you have to do is enter the Rafflecopter giveaway below.
