Make a Big Impression on Graduation Day with Tiny Prints plus $50 Credit Giveaway

My big boy will be graduating from the fifth grade and heading to middle school next year...and I'm terrified.

It's not so much that I'm worried about him. This has more to do with a mother releasing a bit of the grip she once held so tightly on her baby boy.

It seems like yesterday when I dropped him off at preschool for his very first day of schooling. It was the beginning of a 14 year journey in which I knew would result in several milestones, achievements, awards and of course, bittersweet moments.

It scares me to think that he will not need me anymore. He is gaining a bit of independence. Each day he shows me just how much he can do all by himself.

I no longer need to pick him up to reach those high places above where the secret stash of cookies are. He is nearly my height. It appears he can reach the clouds on most days.

I no longer need to coordinate his outfits. I just offer suggestions and he usually goes with the opposite choices. My opinion falls short, near the pile of dirty, mismatched socks by his bed.

I no longer need to help him with his homework. He rarely asks for assistance. He is a natural-born scholar. His grades prove it.

I can finally let go of his hand. If he needs mine again, I will be there to extend it at any given moment.

As Kaden prepares to leave elementary school, I'm preparing for what is up ahead. He will leave the walls of complete guidance (elementary school) into the halls of figuring it out (middle school). He'll nurture old relationships and create new ones with boys, and sadly, girls too. He'll accept the challenges that come with advance classes and increased workloads.

But it will all be bricks toward a sturdy foundation of education. Kaden will continue to soar in his schooling. He has no choice!

How will you celebrate your graduate this year? A party? A great gift? A cookout? A big ol' hug? Whatever you decide, let Tiny Prints help you spread the news on just how proud you are of your graduate...at any level.
