Family Love

I'm an only child, but I have a large family. Both of my parents have eight siblings each plus a host of cousins. I absolutely love it. Family is important.

Throughout the year, we all grow busy and sometimes forget to check in with the people we love. There really is no excuse in this day in age. There is so much technology and social networking, it is impossible to not stay in touch with family.

Since his birthday and Christmas, Kaden has been on Facetime with his cousins and friends. Although most of the communication involves playing games and awkward silence, I can't help but notice how much of a difference it makes in the quality of their relationships.

There are a lot of smiles and giggles. Small Talk. General caring and sharing.

It is wonderful.

However, nothing beats spending time with the ones you love.

I love my family, especially the little ones. They always know how to get me out of a funk and help me see things through a child-like lens.

Seeing Kaden with his cousins shows me just how great of a great big brother he is going to be.

It warms my heart (and so does heartburn).

Where are my TUMS again?! LOL
