The LSS Awards to Honor Jeannie Jones and Local Talent in the DMV on October 1

Washington, D.C. is proud to call several celebrities their own. Take actress Taraji P. Henson, R&B singer Raheem DeVaughn and rapper Wale, to name a few. Each of these people achieved their dreams through persistence, dedication, and recognition. The right place. The right time. The right person. All three elements fell into place thanks to some form of  platform that created an opportunity to be discovered. Call it networking, call it fate, but this Saturday several nominees in various categories will call it an honor.

In just a few days, a formal “Grammy-Style” awards show will recognize hardworking musical artists, fashion industry professionals and community achievers from the Greater Washington Metro Area. With several live performances, a moving and sensational tribute to Ms. Jeannie Jones from 93.9 WKYS and more, the 1st Annual LSS Awards (LSS stands for Love from the Soundstage)will be one to remember. Additionally, this Grammy-Style attired show will be live, recorded and covered by several media outlets in the Washington, D.C. area.
