Fisher-Price® Little People® Animal Sounds Contest with Jarod Miller
We all have those days where it feels like we live in a zoo. The children are running around the house. It smells like someone forgot to clean their cage. And you continuously have to feed the animals. Why did I sign up for this zookeeper job again? Oh yeah, that's right...it has its perks.
Fisher-Price sent us a Little People® Zoo Talkers™ Animal Sounds Zoo for review. Ironically, it tamed the beast in the children for a bit.
To help justify all the random calls of wild that are heard throughout the day (not so much now that school is back in session), Fisher-Price® is inviting everyone to enter the Little People™ Animal Sounds Contest with help from celebrity Zoologist and children’s television show host, Jarod Miller!
The contest calls on parents to submit a video of their child, age 1-5, demonstrating his or her best impression of an animal sound. The prize? Well, it's fabulous: The chance to win a $10,000 cash prize and a trip to Fisher-Price headquarters in East Aurora, N.Y. for a special photo shoot and an opportunity to have your child featured on a Little People® toy package or website.
Are you ready to enter? Here's what you have to do:
1. Grab a video device like a smart phone iPhone® or Android™ mobile device, digital camera or camcorder
2. Record a 20 second or less video (in AVI, MOV, MPEG or WMV format; no larger than 30MB) of a child age 1-5 making his or her best zoo animal sound of one of the following animals: lion, tiger, elephant, bear, penguin, rhinoceros, leopard, whale, polar bear, hippopotamus, monkey, seal, gorilla, alligator, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, dolphin, snake, or bird
3. Submit the video in one of three ways: Via the contest website, iPhone App or Android App (limit five contest entries per person/email address)
4. Share the website link with friends and family so they can visit the public gallery to vote
The Animal Sounds contest runs Aug. 1, 2011 through 11:59 p.m. ET on Nov. 30, 2011. For more information and complete contest rules, visit the Animal Sounds Contest website at www.animalsounds.fisher-price.com.
I'm not a huge fan of voting contest, but watching videos of children making animal noises is worth it to me. At least I'll get a huge laugh, if nothing else. That's exactly what happened when I watched this video of the children playing with the Little People® Zoo Talkers™ Animal Sounds Zoo.
Go. Now. Enter!
