Park, Picnic, Play
Thursday, I packed up the kids and headed to our local park. The weather in Maryland is as hot as fish grease. No one wants to go outdoors, or is advised to. Except...the children. They could care less if mommy's thighs are sticking to the seat like a grilled cheese sandwich from sweating profusely. Luckily, the Chevy Traverse LTZ features perforated leather-appointed front seats that can be cooled for a moment like this.
The trunk was filled with everything you could imagine- a bike, a skateboard, snacks, toys, a cooler. I didn't even have to leave any of the children on the side of the road in order to make it work. It all went in perfectly.
We settled at the perfect spot in the park where both the Traverse and we were shielded from the sun.
Mariah doesn't always give me the time of day. At the park, however, she told me, "I don't want to leave!" I didn't blame her. We had a blast. I was happy to get out of my "funk" from the previous day as well. Take a look at our day:
Did you know?
The Chevy Traverse "has more space than you'll find in many full-size SUVs. The available split-folding seats in the second(20) and third rows give you the flexibility to adapt the vehicle on the fly." I found that out on the first day from speaking with the Baltimore Area Chevy Dealers.
Disclaimer: The Baltimore Chevy Girls on the Go campaign is being sponsored by Baltimore Area Chevy Dealers. I was given a Chevy Traverse to test drive for one month, as well as gift cards to pay for the documented missions. The views and opinions shared are my own. The excitement is real and I may shed a tear when I return the vehicle back to its owner.
Want to know something else about the Chevy Traverse? It will have wings by the time these two girls start driving. I'm totally making that up, but I can only imagine what they'll think of next.
Remember, a Girl on the Go needs time to play without the children. You can enter to win a getaway to The Inn at Perry Cabin (or a $40 gift card to SpaFinder.com for test driving a Chevy). There will be plenty of cargo space to hold your ridiculous amounts of luggage.
