Now That's What I Call a Birthday Party
I've been a little distant from my blog. Well, it's more like I'm hiding from it. I have a list of posts that stare me in the face everyday, and I stare right back. It's one, big stalemate. Luckily, I have something that I actually want to talk about. His name is Chris Mann.
Last night, Amy (@Resourcefulmom) celebrated her birthday in style. She wined and dined us in her brand new home, engaged us in wonderful conversation, and graced us with a live performance. This lady really knows how to party (and that's not just a figure of speech...did you see her dancing?)
Chris Mann rocked her party. He was great. There's something about his down-to-earth, lets-laugh-along-the-way, no-frills approach that makes his performances so memorable. Just a piano and his voice set the tone. Here's some footage from last night's event which was recorded live for Chris's USTREAM channel:
When the camera stopped, the party continued. We were all able to catch-up, eat some delicious cheese cake made by my new friend Shannan (I finally met her IRL), and stalk talk to Chris. He signed our CD too! I took a picture with him. It's a little blurry, but I promise one person is Chris and the other is Keonte'. Can you guess who is who?!
Amy was a wonderful host, and I'm glad I was able to see some familiar faces and make new friends.
If you missed the conversation, here are a few tweets from last night using the hashtag #ChrisMannRocks. We were even able to get #ChrisMannRocks to trend in DC.
Don't forget to catch Chris on Glee tonight at 8 PM EST on Fox. He's a warbler singing Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream". Keep your eyes in the upper, right hand corner to see Chris. Here's a sneak peek:

Overall, the night was perfect. That's more than I can say about the drive home though. Let's just say I took the "scenic" route. It was all worth it!
I really wish I could have been there. This is just a busy week with all the events. Had to say no to something. Looks like I missed quite a party. :(
ReplyDelete@ScrappinMichele I know. There is always something going on. Fortunately, I don't think this will be the last we see of Chris. I see his career taking off soon, and hopefully that means more appearances/shows...in DC of course. LOL!
