Battle of the Bluetooth Earpiece: Is Hands-Free Hassle-Free?
Over the last couple of weeks, I have been putting a range of bluetooth earpiece sets to the test (with the help of family). I am not a fan of them at all. I know they provide safety on the roads, give your undivided attention to what's going on around you, and free up your hands to complete other tasks, but it will take getting use to.
Now, more than ever, I will have to learn how to "get along" with my hands-free bluetooth device. My great state of Maryland recently passed Senate Bill 321 (taken from the website):
Prohibiting a driver of a motor vehicle that is in motion from using the driver's hands to use a handheld telephone except to initiate or terminate a wireless call or to turn on or off the handheld phone; providing that a violation of the Act may be enforced only as a secondary violation; establishing penalties of $40 for a first offense and $100 for a second offense; prohibiting a driver of a school vehicle or a holder of an instructional permit or provisional driver's license from using a handheld phone while driving; etc.I'm not sure about you, but paying a fine for talking on the phone in the car is not worth it.
Keep an eye out for my reviews on several of the hottest bluetooth earpieces around. And find out who wins the "Battle of the Bluetooth Earpiece".
