It's A Big World
You never understand the ease of raising older children until you are in the company of an infant. I am use to Kaden, and sometimes Mariah, being able to perform a few tasks throughout the day on their own. I did not have this luxury this weekend when I babysat my infant cousin.
Iyana will be 5 months old in a few days. She is the happiest baby I have seen in awhile. All she needs is a simple conversation consisting of goo-goos and ga-gas. Her smile in infectious.
However, she is still a baby. She gets fussy. She whines. She falls out on a few occasions. These actions do not fair well when you are trying to get things done on the computer. Lucky for me, I was able to incorporate the computer to help me calm Iyana.
Welcome, Youtube.com. I hate to assume everyone knows what this is, but in case you are unaware of anything related to the computer (like my Grandma, bless her heart), it's a one-stop site for any movie, video, or footage you could ever imagine.
I searched Youtube.com for the perfect lullaby to soothe Iyana. I wanted something different than the typical "Twinkle, Twinkle little star" bit. I came across this amazing song called, "It's a Big World" by Renee and Jeremy. Their songs are refreshing. After three continuous loops of the video (more for me rather than Iyana) I was singing at the top of my lungs. Even more importantly, Iyana fell asleep in my arms. Take a listen at this great song and listen to the message:
"It's a big world baby, and your little for a little while.
It's a big world baby, you can fiddle in your own style."

It's amazing the resources available on the Internet. Looks like I've found a new way to soothe the baby and still get work done...without leaving the computer. That's Mommy 2K if you ask me.
