Kaden has received a Lego building set for either his birthday or Christmas for the past few years. It's the one toy that never goes out of style. It is also one of the greatest toys because he can use his creative juices to build these amazing objects.
This year, his grandparents purchased the 4 x 4 Crawler from Lego. Not only can you build a truck, but it is also motorized and moves with a remote control.
Kaden started building on Christmas day for an hour or so. He took a break and resumed the next day. He told me that it was "going to be a long day" because he had several hours of Legos to build.
For hours, he sits at the table, on the floor or wherever he can put on his thinking cap, and tears through instructional books that only show pictures. Kaden follows each piece very carefully. He is more patient than I ever could be.
Eight hours and 1327 Lego pieces later, he emerged from his room with the final product in hand.
What is the one item or toy that your child receives each year that has become a tradition?
**I've testing out my camera. My skills aren't that great, but I'm working on it.
