According to Webster's Dictionary, clout is a noun and one of its many definitions is, "pull or influence". This is the same idea behind the website, KLOUT, the standard measure of influence. If you haven't signed up for it yet, go here.
Don't worry if you don't have a lot of followers. This is a different "numbers" game. Klout is more about the interaction, how well you generate conversation, respond, and engage. In other words, be social.
This is the one time you'll be rewarded for "running your mouth" (or typing, tweeting, updating, etc.). Klout has rolled out a rewards program for users made up of "exclusive products or experiences that you can earned based on your influence." It's called, Klout Perks.
Right now, I have a few that I can share with you. Hurry, these don't always stick around long.
Zinio (digital magazine)
Jillian Michaels (weight-loss app)
AXE Hold + Touch (styling product)
Spreecast (social video platform)
MOO (business cards)
EyeScience (computer eye strain formula)
Make sure you sign-up first. Then, start influencing. Pretty soon, you'll be sharing your PERKS with us.
If you have time, I'd like more +K on HOTELS, and DISNEY.
**There was no monetary compensation for writing this post. I will receive free samples because I am influential and have authority on topics related to the perk. Opinions and views are my own.
