I came across a story titled "Wish You Were Here". The Stewart Family was being covered. They are made up of three, young children and a husband and wife. Jared, the husband, was serving our country in Iraq while Marissa was taking care of home. She said:
“It’s hard raising three kids and going through the tough stuff alone,” she says. “But Jared’s job is to focus on his work, to protect himself and his troops. My job is to hold down the fort back home.”These are words I'm sure tons of family have uttered when a loved one is called for duty. Even if everyone appears to be strong, brave, and courageous, it doesn't mean they won't be missed while gone.
Flat Daddies is
"a group that provides large images of deployed servicemen and -women for their families".
Find out how you can GIVE a Flat Daddy to a family in need. They give their life everyday for us, it's the least we can do.
