Piggy Paint Review and Giveaway

Mariah is only 2, but she is well aware of beauty regimens women take part in to look fabulous. Check her out, all dolled-up:

Painting our nails has become a favorite past-time. It gives us a chance to bond. She tells me her favorite color. I tell her mine. She smiles as I coat her barely-there finger nails. I smile back at her. It is a far cry from the useless time spent in a salon with fumes and foot fungus. For us, painting our nails (or lack of nails if you are a biter like me) is fun.

When I discovered the wonderful creation known as Piggy Paint, I was elated. Immediately, I noticed three promising details on the main page of the website:
  • Non-Toxic
  • Odorless
  • Kid-Friendly
This alone receives a big thumbs-up. One of the downfalls of using regular nail polish on children is the harmful chemicals and fumes. We all know children like to put their hands in their mouth, so having a product that reduces the harm is wonderful.

Piggy Paint is also:
  • Water-based
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Fun and Vibrant in color
  • Dries to a hard, durable finish
There are simple steps to make Piggy Paint effective. Following these steps will optimize the length the polish stays on your little ones nails. They are (from the website www.piggypaint.com):
  • Wash hands with soap and water.
  • Apply 2 -3 thin coats of Piggy Paint™.
  • Air dry 60 seconds.
  • Blow dry polished nails for 1 minute with hair dryer set on warm heat/low blower setting. For safety purposes, please follow manufacturer’s instructions on blow dryer and always monitor your child
Mariah and I followed these steps using our GIRLS RULE nail polish and everything turned out fab:

We even had a bottle of nail remover in case Mariah decided she did not want nail polish on anymore.

Overall, Piggy Paint is an affordable (when you weigh all the benefits), effective, and kid-friendly product. Heck, it works great on my nails too. You should give it a try.
