My friends (Ira) over at have been so gracious to offer me another opportunity to turn my favorite portrait into a masterpiece.

You may recall I did a Photofiddle review early-on in my blogging. I had a picture fiddled of Ian and me from a day at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. I love it to pieces. I have it just above our television on a shelf in the living room. I strategically place the picture there so everyone would have to admire it. Works like a charm.

When I was approached to do another review, I immediately jumped on the chance. How often do we get to have our most memorable pictures brought to life on a beautiful canvas? In my case, two times. I had to take up on their offer.

With Father's Day approaching, artwork is the perfect gift to give. The website has tons of popular ideas for you to choose from. There are options such as Deep Sponge Painting, Fantasy Art, Pop Art Colored Squares, and my favorite, Oil Painting.

I had a hard time deciding what picture to fiddle. I was going to choose a portrait of my parents and gift it to my step-father for Father's Day. I shared the idea with my Mom. She was all over it of course. Then, I thought about having a picture fiddled of my step-father's street car. I knew he would put it in the garage with the rest of his racing memorabilia, so I decided against this. I wanted the picture to be seen by everyone.

Finally, I had a brilliant idea. Why not have a picture of my late grandfather fiddled and give it to my Mom as a present for Father's Day? I know it sounds a little backwards, but she does not have the ability to share this day with her Dad, so I wanted to give her something to cherish forever.

Here is what I came-up with:

The original picture of my grandfather

It's hard to see all the details, but the picture is fantastic. It is a 18" x 18" Stretched Canvas Frame - Oil Painting valued at $94.95. I love it!

This is a dramatic video of me opening my package.
